A large collection of 66 pieces of Mid-Century Modern ceramic tableware manufactured by Midwinter in Staffordshire, England. The set features the highly recognizable ‘Spanish Garden’ pattern, often attributed to designer Jessie Tait. The pattern consists of stylized floral motifs executed in transfer print, primarily in shades of cobalt blue and teal/green against a white ground. The comprehensive inventory includes dinner plates, lunch/breakfast plates, saucers, cups, mugs, bowls, accessory pieces such as a gravy boat/sauce jug, and salt and pepper shakers. The pieces are marked on the underside with the printed backstamp: Midwinter FINE TABLEWARE STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND.
