2 Sylvac Ceramic Dog Figurines

Two ceramic dog figurines attributed to the English pottery firm SylvaC (Shaws & Sons). The collection is represented by various models, including two examples shown: a smooth-coated dog figure and a rough-coated terrier-type dog. Both figures are executed in a glossy, creamy beige or tan glaze. The terrier figure is depicted wearing a molded brown ribbon and features a textured glaze simulating fur. This figure is marked on the base with the molded inscription 1433 SYLVAC ENGLAND. The smooth-coated dog figure is marked on the base with a partial molded number, 3032. The figures date from the mid-20th century.
