A British police custodian helmet from the Elizabeth II period, featuring a black felt-covered body with a patent leather peak and neck guard. It is adorned with silver-colored metal fittings, including a prominent helmet plate displaying the “ER” royal cypher beneath a crown, encircled by the text “WEST YORKSHIRE METROPOLITAN POLICE.” A matching silver-colored finial is affixed to the crown of the helmet, and a decorative chin chain runs across the brim.
