Description
A wall-mounted weather station, featuring three distinct instruments mounted on a dark-stained hardwood plaque, possibly mahogany or similar. The design is traditional, with a decorative finial at the top. It comprises a central, large aneroid barometer with a brass-colored bezel, marked “RAIN,” “Change,” “FAIR,” “STORM,” “MUCH RAIN,” “SET FAIR,” “VERY DRY,” along with pressure scales in inches (28-31) and millibars/hPa (950-1050), and labeled “BAROMETER” and “Compensated.” Below the barometer is a smaller hygrometer, also with a brass-colored bezel, marked “HYGROMETER” and “NORMAL,” with a 0-100% scale. Above the barometer, a vertical mercury (or alcohol) thermometer is encased in a brass-colored metal plaque, showing both Fahrenheit (20-120) and Celsius (0-50) scales. Both the barometer and hygrometer dials bear the marking “MADE IN GERMANY.” A white sticker with the number “4351” is visible on the reverse.
