A Collection of British Royal Commemorative and Decorative Plates

A collection of approximately a dozen decorative collector’s plates, predominantly crafted from ceramic or porcelain. The collection features a variety of styles, including colorful photographic transfers of British Royal Family members and events, painted portraits, and traditional blue and white transferware landscapes. Key commemorations visible include Queen Elizabeth II’s 80th Birthday (2006), her Golden Jubilee (1952-2002), and the 50th Anniversary of her Coronation (2003). Portraits often depict the Queen or other royal figures such as Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Other visible dates include 1977, 1997, 2000, and 2004. One plate features the inscription “GOD BLESS YOU BOTH AND YOUR BABY.” Many plates incorporate gilded borders and accents; one is an oval form with a dark blue and gold rim.
