A Large Collection of Danbury Mint Feline-Themed Porcelain Collector Plates with Wall Mounts

A collection of decorative porcelain cabinet plates featuring various feline subjects, primarily produced by the Danbury Mint. The assortment includes plates from several series, notably the Cats and Flowers collection featuring illustrations by the artist Irene Spencer. Each circular plate is decorated with detailed polychrome transfer-printed depictions of cats and kittens in domestic and naturalistic environments. Many of the plates are finished with gilt-line borders or patterned rims. The reverse of one plate is marked for Faux Paw from the Cats and Flowers series, described as a collection of eight porcelain plates by Irene Spencer for the Danbury Mint. The backstamps include a caution stating the items are works of art not intended for food use. Several items in the collection are fitted with wire spring wall mounts for display purposes.
