Description
A collection of three estate smoking pipes constructed from briar wood. The first pipe features a straight billiard shape with a dark grained finish. Its black stem is impressed with a red circular dot above the word PLUMB in white uppercase letters, and the shank bears an incised script mark for Dr Plumb. The second pipe is of a similar straight profile and bears corresponding incised script markings to the shank. The third pipe is designed with a slightly curved stem and a bowl finished in a polished brown stain; the shank is stamped with text, the lower line of which reads BOLTON. All three pipes are fitted with black stems, likely vulcanite.
Measurements: The pipes range in length from approximately 140mm to 150mm.
