A vintage Technics RS-B106 stereo cassette deck, manufactured in Japan by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. The unit features a dark grey metal and plastic housing. The front panel is equipped with a three-digit electronic digital counter with a reset button and a central LED peak level meter for monitoring left and right audio levels in decibels. Functional capabilities include “One Touch Recording” and “Full Auto Stop”. Interface controls include push-button selectors for tape types (Type I/Normal, Type II/CrO2, and Type IV/Metal), Dolby Noise Reduction, and an input selector for switching between line and microphone sources. Audio levels are adjusted via a large rotary input level dial and a smaller balance control knob.
