An Otagiri glazed ceramic lidded storage jar, dated 1983. The piece is modelled in the form of a Victorian Painted Lady townhouse, featuring a corner turret, gabled roof, and relief-moulded architectural details. The exterior is hand-painted over the moulded surfaces in a palette of white, grey, and terracotta, with textured shingle patterns on the roof and simulated siding on the walls. The base is incised with the mark © OTAGIRI 1983 and JAPAN. An oval sticker on the roof section is printed with the word Handpainted.
