Two pairs of Imperial German First World War period protective goggles, of the pattern utilised by aviation personnel and motorcycle dispatch riders. The goggles feature metal frames fitted with high-profile white sheepskin padding designed for wind protection at high speeds. The lenses are constructed from clear celluloid. Each pair is fitted with a grey-blue ribbed elasticated fabric webbing strap. The items are housed in two simple rectangular cardboard boxes. No manufacturer marks, stamps, or unit designations are visible on the goggles or the exterior of the boxes.
