Ditmar Demon Type No 70 Portable Paraffin Heater

A vintage Ditmar Demon Type No 70 portable paraffin or kerosene heater of Austrian manufacture. The unit features a cylindrical body finished in green enamel, mounted upon a circular tripod base. The central burner assembly includes a perforated metal screen and is topped with a removable cast iron grate. A wire swing handle with a spring-style grip is attached to the upper section. The body is fitted with a metal badge inscribed with Type No 70, DEMON, and DITMAR. The lower metal ring is stamped with MADE IN AUSTRIA. The fuel reservoir at the base is equipped with two control knobs. A UK one-pound coin is included in the images for scale.
