Description
A collection of 4 ceramic items. The group includes a large glazed earthenware figural spill vase group designed in the Staffordshire style. The scene depicts a shepherd wearing a red tunic standing inside a walled and fenced enclosure accompanied by sheep and lambs. A multi-branched tree-form spill vase is positioned to the left, featuring applied figures of an owl, a fox, a blackbird, and a nest containing eggs. The hollow-cast base has no visible maker’s marks. Also included are three miniature bone china floral posies. One posy features pansies and forget-me-nots and bears a green Royal Doulton England backstamp with a small green hand-painted mark. A second posy contains pink and yellow roses in a white urn-style base, marked with a blue Coalport crown stamp and hand-painted S and K characters. The final posy consists of pink and yellow roses in a pale green base, marked Staffordshire Floral Bone China Made in England with hand-painted pink 02/W characters.
